Retainer billing fires on a fixed schedule - monthly or custom - for a set amount per client. You configure the retainer amount and billing date once. Time-Based Billing

Hours logged x rate, calculated automatically

Time-based billing calculates invoice amounts from hours logged by your team on tasks within the billing period. You set the hourly rate per team member or per project. SyncHq multiplies logged hours by the applicable rate, groups by team member, and builds the invoice line items. Nothing to reconcile manually - the hours are already in the system.

Milestone billing fires an invoice when a specific project milestone is marked complete by your team. You configure the milestone name and the invoice amount at project setup.
